But for us... mmm, it's not that simple.
Every time we go to a restaurant, the logistics begin.
The others can ask for anything, but for Danyha we have to go into "rescue operation" mode.
It's not an exaggeration: it's survival.
First we check the menu. Then we asked. Then ask the waiter again. Then we check again. And in the end, many times, we end up buying her something somewhere else because there is no safe option for her.
Thus, while the family eats together, Danyha eats separately.
And although she handles it with an impressive maturity, one like mom feels that blow in the chest.
Because it's not just about food.
It's about belonging.
When you have a child who lives with celiac disease, the table is no longer an automatic place. It becomes an emotional puzzle. And every outing to a restaurant feels like a reminder of how much is missing in this world so that everyone can sit at the same table without fear.
And that's where something was born in us: the desire to create what didn't exist.
Gluten Not Included did not come out of a business idea, it came out of that need that no child, no mother, no father has to choose between being together or being safe.
